point and shoot pi camera

As a weekendproject i created with the new raspberry pi and the pinoir a point and shoot camera. The pi is booting into a pythons script which takes pictures by a push button soldered on a gpio with enabled pull up resistor. The secondary button shutdown the raspberry pi safely. As power supply i use a power bank with 2600mAh.

Without any filters the camera captures the normal light including infrared light.

This light has to be blocked with a filter. I tried different filters in front of the lens for deleting the visual light and only capture the infrared light. The first on is with a filter created out of an old floppy disk and the second one is with a black dia. This is the method i will work on more, it gives the best results.
